Overview & Eligibility
eSAIL is pleased to offer a limited number of licenses for Smart Note, a web-based application that promotes digital accessibility. Smart Note converts inaccessible PDFs of handwritten notes into accessible PDFs, including standard text, mathematical expressions, and automatically generates and adds alt-text and long descriptions for drawings. Licenses to Smart Note are funded by eSAIL and are provided at no cost to faculty in the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University.
Process Summary

- eSAIL will verify your current faculty status.
- Verified emails will be submitted to the Encando team for account creation.
- Account setup details will be sent to your TAMU email address directly from Encando within 2-3 business days following verification.
