eSAIL offers several live workshops to support your online teaching. Live workshops provide an opportunity for hands-on practice with guidance from our eSAIL staff.

June 2025 – Accessibility Resource Tour

Maximize Your Course Accessibility: A 30-Minute eSAIL Resource Tour

Join us for a focused 30-minute Zoom tour of eSAIL’s comprehensive online accessibility resources. We’ll walk you through:

  • Where to locate vital accessibility checklists and templates.
  • How to access tutorials and videos on common accessibility issues.
  • Where to find support for specific accessibility questions.

July 2025 – Accessibility Q&A Sessions

Join our Q&A sessions designed specifically for engineering faculty to address accessibility in their online courses.

These Q&A sessions provide a valuable opportunity to:

  • Gain solutions for making your material more accessible.
  • Connect with other faculty members who share your commitment to accessibility.
  • Ask questions and share your experiences.

Get ready to take practical steps toward creating more accessible online learning experiences!

Prerequisites: Review our Digital Accessibility Resources before coming so we can answer specific questions you might have after learning more about how to make your courses more accessible.

Please note: These sessions are being offered in response to new laws and regulations related to online accessibility. By attending, you will learn how to ensure that your online courses comply with these requirements and provide an inclusive learning experience for all students.

November 2025 – Preparing for the End of the Semester

Description: This session is for faculty using Canvas who want to learn more about setting up Gradebook and preparing for end-of-semester calculations. Topics addressed include setting up grading schemes, weighted grades, grade posting policy, assignment groups, creating extra columns, and posting grades to Howdy.


February 2026 – Framing Your PowerPoint for Recording & Other Lecture Capture Tips

Description: Learn to enhance your PowerPoint presentations using eSAIL’s framing methodology for a more structured recording experience. Strategically add slides to boost student engagement in both face-to-face and online courses.
