eSAIL offers several live workshops to support your online teaching. Live workshops provide an opportunity for hands-on practice with guidance from our eSAIL staff.

Description: Is your PowerPoint a seamless story or a visual puzzle? This workshop dives into the “behind-the-scenes” mechanics that make your presentations professional, accessible, and easy to follow. We’ll move beyond basic bullet points to master the structural tools that ensure every audience member—and every screen reader—sees your vision exactly as intended.

During this session, we will focus on three core areas: mastering reading order through the Selection Pane, using grouping to maintain layout integrity, and breaking down complex diagrams into accessible, high-impact visuals.

Description: Get your course ready for Day 1! This workshop walks you through the essential pre-flight checklist: importing content, updating dates, verifying link persistence, and setting up your “Start Here” module. We’ll also demonstrate how to use the Student View tool to spot common navigation hurdles before your students do.

October 2026 – Preparing for the End of the Semester

Description: This session is for faculty using Canvas who want to learn more about setting up Gradebook and preparing for end-of-semester calculations. Topics addressed include setting up grading schemes, weighted grades, grade posting policy, assignment groups, creating extra columns, and posting grades to Howdy.
